Dr. Akyildiz gives a talk on “Metaverse: Extended Reality and Holographic Type Communication Research Challenges” at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi on Oct 25, 2022 and also at the Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 19, 2022.

Dr. Akyildiz receives a “Certificate of Appreciation” for his commitment and outstanding contribution to the ITU Journal on Future and Evolving Technologies, in his role as founding Editior in Chief since August 2020, at the ITU PP conference on Oct. 10, 2022. 

Dr. Akyildiz will give a webinar entitled “The AI-powered Metaverse” at the “ITU AI for Good” event on September 20, 2022.
