Interplanetary Internet: Next Generation Space Relay Architecture
Overview
The research efforts of expanding mankind's horizons through missions to understand the universe and extend human presence into the solar system have never stopped. Science and engineering constantly seek improvements in spectral, temporal, and spatial resolution to enhance their models of physical behavior. Improvements in any of those dimensions lead to increases in the volume of data transmitted. These increasingly capable missions require corresponding enhancements in communication capabilities and navigation capabilities.
